If you are looking for something inspirational then you have to at least surround yourself with all sorts of inspirational stuff and the wood inspirational board is the right option for you. While space happens to be a constant issue for many of us, the bigger inspirational boards are always better. Today we bring to you a DIY inspirational board. The wooden board we used for our inspirational board actually is a scrap material which was the frame of a bed. However, if you start working on your own Diy inspirational board, you can even use the simple square-shaped frame and the rest of the steps to making it will be the same as this one.
Materials required for making the inspirational board are as follows.
- Wooden frame: bed frame, picture frame or of any other shape
- A fabric which is enough for covering your wooden frame
- White paint
- Staple gun
- Hemp twine
The first step is to paint your wooden frame so it won’t be showing through the fabric. Let that paint dry up completely.
Lay this frame with its front side facing down on the back of your first fabric layer. Cut this fabric around the frame while leaving a few inches of the fabric for each side. Whilst working around your wooden frame, stretch this fabric around the edges a little bit tight and then staple it on the back of the frame.
Now repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other layer of fabric as well.
Now cut off the tine a few inches longer as compared to the frame’s width. Hang these twines across the front side of the frame in any pattern you like. Then staple these twines on the backside of the wooden frame for securing them in place. Make these twine a little tight but not too much tight as they will be stretched when weight is added onto them.
There you have it; your inspirational board is ready. Now hang it on the wall near your work surface and fill it up with inspirational stuff.
