DIY iPhone Cases

Holidays are usually filled with a lot of glitter as it encoders everything in a little layer of shinning dust. This year, instead of throwing it all away we decided to collect this glittering shimmer epically of the shiny confetti papers and do a little Diy project. The project we made with these used up confetti are the shiny iPhone cases. For making these shiny iPhone cases, all you need to do is to order a few of the clear cases that you can get for cheap online and then glue them on the iPhone cases.

Even if you do not like the glittery stuff, you can use the Mod Podge to attach some holiday ribbons or a gift wrap on these cases to make a new one too.

Items required for making the shiny iPhone cases are as follows.

  • Glitter
  • Streamers or tinsels
  • Mod podge
  • Brushes
  • Paint
  • Scissors
  • Clear cases for iPhone

Step 1:-

Assemble all your glittering items. We made sue of one tbsp of the glitter, streamers and the tinsel. For making the streamers in a parallelogram shape, we cut the stands in long ways and then gathered them in one group and then cut at an angle.

Step 2:-

Work on one phone case at a time because the glue tends to dry up very quickly. Coat the inside of the phone case with the thin layer of the Mod Podge.  Distribute the glittering elements any way you like on the glue-like dropping it from the top or placing them gently with your fingertip.

Be sure not to move or make smudges of the Mod Podge or else it will be smeared.

Step 3:-

After the Mod Podge is completely dried up, remove any of the excess glittering elements that have not fully glued down. Or you can also apply another coat of the glue and then add on more glittering stuff or move on the painting part.

It is best to remove the excess glittering material with a Q-tip.

Step 4:-

For painting the cases, we also recommend using Q-tip. Apply a thin layer of the paint which can be of any color. Let it dry up completely. We applied 2 thin coats on each case.

Step 5:-

After the paint is all dried up, let the phone case be placed overnight and then apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to let the paint seal in. attach the case on your phone or you can also gift it to someone.
